Domestic Adoption Placement Program

We know first-hand what it is like to build your family through adoption and we are here to walk you through every step of the journey. Our priority is to honor and help expectant parents make adoption plans for their babies, with respect and free of judgment, all while honoring their wishes. And in this, we are able to help you make your dreams of becoming parents, a reality.

As you may know, our Agency and staff have been helping families and birth parents alike for many decades. We are a full-service agency, working with adoptive families and expectant parents – from consultations and home studies to placement and post-placement supervision.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please review our FAQs to learn more about our domestic adoption program.

Can I adopt a newborn?

Most expectant parents reaching out to us are still pregnant and so the vast majority of our cases involve the adoption of newborn babies.

How long will it take for me to adopt a baby?

While it is not possible to guarantee a particular timeframe, on average, you can expect to wait 12-18  months. There are many variables that can impact this answer, yet we believe in transparency throughout this process.

How many adoptive families do we have in our program?

We limit the number of families we choose to work with at one time. This allows us to work with integrity and also gives us the opportunity to give each expectant parent and adopting family the time they deserve. In general, we will work with a maximum of 15-20 families at one time.

How do I know if I am qualified to adopt?

Each state has its own laws surrounding adoption. In addition, we require an approved Home Study (which can be done by HVAS if you reside in the state of NY) as well as state-required clearances.

Does your agency work with all religions, sexual orientations, etc.?

Our philosophy is one of inclusivity. We do not discriminate against any race, gender, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, age, or marital status.
