People ask me why I chose adoption. It’s more complicated than a quick answer in line at the grocery store.  If you are reading this, you are in the shoes I was in, contemplating gifting parenthood. I became pregnant ten years ago with twins. There were three choices before me, and I chose adoption for my boys.  I lovingly and painstakingly placed my babies into the loving arms of a couple who desired to be parents more than anything. We have an open adoption with calls, texts, video calls, and in-person visits. When I see their [adoptive] parents interact during visits and in photos, my heart is filled and at peace. Our relationship is built on mutual respect, clear communication, and honesty.
