How could I work and take care of a baby all by myself? How could I afford formula, diapers, doctor’s visits and clothing for the baby? How could I afford food and clothing for myself?

After looking through the internet and reading a few websites, I sent a request for information to Hudson Hearts and was immediately connected to a caseworker. Elisabeth and I had a phone call the same day and I was able to express my feelings and fears to her. I felt safe and comfortable and knew that I was on the right path. I was given so much information and support that the process became easier, clearer, less overwhelming, and scary.

In my heart I knew I wasn’t settled or stable enough to raise my son. I made the choice to give my son a safe and loving family, a roof over his head and everything he would need. Choosing adoption would give him that and more. I made this sacrifice because I loved him more than I ever thought I could love someone. And when I chose his parents, everything changed. In my heart I knew he wasn’t just my son, but our son. I was able to make my final decision and feel at peace with placing my baby for adoption.
